Like many aspiring musicians although I’ve produced over one hundred tracks and remixes, none of them have made much noise. To be quite honest when I first started all this I did sound quite terrible. Bad english puns aside, as a DJ, producer, guitar player, and singer music will always be a part of my life. Much like my artistic ambitions it would be nice to be able to upload songs good enough to support my lifestyle, but since that is not the case I’m forced to get more creative as I try to build and support my Brand. Here are some things I can do to try to get people to listen to my tunes.
Posting My Music On My Website

Much like the similar art section of my website, I’ve made a lot of music, but it’s nowhere to be found on here. Recently I’ve started to upload my music to spotify, digital stores, and YouTube. Although I’ve made more than ten songs, these are the only ones I want on the website.

Posting Mixes

There’s nothing like a good hour to two hour long mix when doing things like exercising, grinding out a project, or just chilling with friends. I aim to provide non stop mixes to fit different situations and moods. With posting them to soundcloud, dailymotion, and here I can include the track list as well as my thoughts while making the mix.
Making Track Breakdowns

There is a lot of content online in regards to how to make music, but most of it is made in a video format. I had the idea of breaking down exactly what I do to my tracks to make them sound the way that they do. To illustrate how it’s done I will use a combination of gifs, vidoes, pictures, and sound clips hosted on soundcloud. Writing allows me to express which tracks inspired me, the meaning of lyrics, and my overall thought process when it comes to putting out tracks.
Visualizations
If you’ve seen any music channels on YouTube, you know exactly what a visualization is. It’s much different than a traditional music video, but it is a visual representation of the music being played. Sometimes with a looping visual gif in the background, this is much more eye catching than a static image.
Music Videos
Something I’d like to start doing is making fully fledged music videos for my original tracks. Perhaps incorporating the other aspects of things I like doing like drawing or dancing. Telling stories with a track will be a way to also improve my directing and editing eyes.
Study Notes and Improvement Routines
As I’m always looking to get better at what I do, I’d like to share my notes of studying through experimenting, watching videos, and reading books. If I’m able to condense this information as well as providing personal anecdotes and routines I can help people find ways to improve it’s sure to stop a small amount of their frustrations.
