A Sensual Tsundere Sucrose

A Tsundere Sucrose

Well, I’ve decided to start blogging again. . . I don’t know how long it will last but cheers to another attempt 🍻

Since I’m an “artist”, I hate calling myself that, but I was finally able to finish another piece. I was actually pretty frustrated because I was trying to work on perspective and use a book I had as a reference for a book in the piece. As my initial idea fell apart and I restarted and fell into my habit of drawing the same pose, sameish proportions, and the same bullshit I call art. As much as I like Genshin Impact one of the only reasons I decided to draw this work was because of some stupid quiz I took online.
You can take the The EXTREMELY EXTENSIVE Genshin Impact Kin Quizhere.

It will remind you of those quizzes you took on the early internet . . . or in the early stages of Facebook.

I’m a Sucrose

I didn’t want to cheat so I answered honestly. There was a hope that when the quiz ended Mona Megistus’s name would pop. Instead, Sucrose’s profile popped up. After quelling my disappointment, I took the time to read about “Myself“. If I was born into Teyvat I’d be this person? Well, I could hope I’d be Sucrose instead of some unnamed NPC, there was now a disconnect between the person I wanted to be in real life and in-game.

Although as I read Sucrose’s description I grew to love her. A large part of that is because Sucrose and I are indeed very similar. We both like to work largely on our own researching things we find interesting, but neither of us thinks ourselves or the work we do is that important. As I pictured myself in Sucrose’s position, I could empathize with what it was like to be paralyzingly shy. I loved that she was shy about her ears and tries to hide them in her hair. A part of me wondered what Sucrose’s deep hidden desires were, what would her shadow be like?

World Is Mine

A part of this piece was inspired by The World is Mine song and Redjuice’s character design. In those pieces, Hatsune Miku, who is normally cute like Sucrose, shows a more tsundere, devilish, flirty, and mischievous side to her. I liked that and tried to imagine what Sucrose’s sweet character would look like with a touch of sexuality, attitude, and tsundere. The expression of her licking her lips after sweet snack captures that pretty well I think. The little fang shows a hint of that attitude while keeping the rest of the expression easy-going and sweet.
