When Things Don’t Work Out

The video reflects on the importance of finding joy in the process when things don’t work out. In the original article, I draw inspiration from Gary Vee’s analogy of the practical aspects of a business to dirt and the ultimate vision to the clouds. I share my experience of not landing a dream job due to the employer’s preference for a specific style. My autism makes it difficult to understand my emotions, but I decided to attend the meet and greet for the role, where they realized that the owner had a different vision for the role and its content.

Despite the disappointment, I remain humble and look for positive takeaways. Disappointment and near misses can be the best motivation when things don’t work out. Learning the basics can be beneficial. I’ve adopted a growth mindset and believe in making things more efficient. Lastly, I reflect on the positive takeaways and what went well and not so well during the mock interview.

Thank You

When things don't work out growth
Always a reminder of growth over time

A special thank you to my cousin, mom, and loyal supporters who helped me through the application process. I’ve grown so much in my ability to post content regularly and also grow from failures and foibles. Many of you who know me know that I’m awfully stubborn, especially when things don’t work out. I’ll keep trying to purse my dream of becoming a content creator and push to create a job and role for me if it doesn’t exist.

I can’t wait to keep learning in public even when things don’t work out fully. Especially when things don’t work out because that’s when you learn the most. I’ll try my best to document the entire process moving forward and celebrate the wins when I get them.

Much love LBM ♥
